[Siemens]

<<<how will Siemens get its Allegros? one possibility is that Siemens cancels the AMTX order, waits for the C6x and then builds units of its own Allegro-like design. another is that AMTX licenses the Allegro designs to Siemens. a third option is that WSTL builds the Allegros for Siemens (assuming it makes business for WSTL to do so). you think #2 is the case?>>>

I don't know which scenario will prevail.

As part of Siemens's partnership with Amati, they agreed to OEM the first 100K --- Amati's goods, Siemens's name. As for what they're doing at their end, I don't know if they licensed the Allegro or if they have their own design --- only that they're based on the C6X. I do know they didn't want anyone else to build their modems to begin with so I doubt they'll change their minds now.

My point continues to be: read the fine print.

That's all.
