I believe the higher speeds will be necessary for video. Not to mention new products that will be developed. IF YOU HAVE THE BANDWITH IT WILL BE CONSUMED!!! Tv , telephone , stereo, vcr , computer ,these will all become hybrid mixtures and all of them linked to the net.

I couldn't agree more. In fact, I'd go a step further. I've seen ISDN in action...I was expecting...well, something much quicker than what I observed, which was not a terribly big improvement over 28.8
