Hi,

Has anyone heard about Datek's schedule for rolling out the ability to do NYSE Stops. Also their schedule for Options? Thanks.

Peter, once again, I am having trouble getting my NYSE trades executed.

I have now had two occasions when I have cancelled my MARKET order in frustration. (And the cancel went through!)

In all cases, this has been on the same stock, VTS.

Peter..."The best way to connect to datek online is to use the login button. This will connect you to the fastest server."

You've got to be kidding, right??!!

It took me over 3 minutes to go to Datek home page, click the customer log-in button, click the next log-in button, wait for a server page to come up and ask me for my user name and password, click OK and wait some more.... If this is the best Datek can do, then I need to find a different broker.... You're only good for the "buy once in a while" type investor...

On a more detailed note, the MCI connection is not any faster than our other connections, despite the posts stating otherwise on this thread. It depends on how and where you connect to the internet.

We weren't complaining that MCI was faster. We were saying that the IconNet is less reliable. There have been several cases when all Datek's servers except MCI-connected orders6 and orders7 were unreachable because of IconNet. When I posted about the difficulties I did the traceroute from three different ISPs and they all stopped at IconNet.

It's really good to hear about the multiple backbone connections coming soon.
