I don't buy that. That's what the Dems sell, that Romney is just another Bush. He's different and more competent. In addition, he's pledge to get rid of Bernanke. Will he hire a Volcker conservative to replace Bernanke? I hope so. However, even if he doesn't, just getting rid of Bernanke will send a signal to the next guy to cool it a bit with the printing press. Also, if Romney is elected, there is a very strong chance we may see a bill pass and get signed that limits the Fed to only one mandate: currency stability. That would be an enormous breakthrough, which would instantly make my vote worthwhile, even if I lose some of the things Obama fought for.
