Some reviews from the Boston Globe, THE paper in MA and also a liberal one:

I am beginning to see this is a far more complicated race than I thought. Several comments were made that Warren doesn't have a Boston accent while Brown suddenly developed one. In the past, I was always surprised that he didn't have much of an accent. He had one tonite. Apparently, that's important in MA.

In addition, Menino, the mayor of Boston and an important figure in the Dem party, just got around to endorsing Warren. Last senate election, he didn't endorse the Dem candidate. Why? He's friends with Scott Brown.

I was surprised too that Brown is a better candidate than I once thought. It was my understanding that he won last time because his opponent ran a lousy campaign and he ran a good one. That and his good looks overcame the fact he's dumb as rocks. Turns out he's not so dumb and he has some stuff going on besides his looks and charisma.

Bottom line: Warren has her hands full. I hope Obama has long coattails.
