I think you're absolutely wrong. What's caused our deficits and debt are Republican tax cuts in relatively good economic times. For Republicans, the universal answer to ANY problem is a tax cut, and it's been going on since Reagan. It's MUCH easier to cut taxes ( who doesn't like to pay less taxes?) than it is to raise them. Now, Republicans have a "brand" as the party that will cut your taxes. That works when you can borrow to make up the difference, and THEY are the one's doing that. The only balanced budget in my lifetime was achieved under Bill Clinton. Obama gets a pass due to stimulation during the Bush Great Recession. ,,and YOU are going to vote for them, AGAIN!
