I have always had a morbid interest in wars. Perverse in a way because I have tried to understand WHY human beings need to slaughter one another. I have read so many books on the various wars. Went through a Civil War period. Then the Korean War and then Viet Nam.. This latest BUSH and Cheney War I fought hard to avoid. I saved a folder on all those who were against our going into Iraq.... and who thought the WMD bogus. They all were correct. I have since thrown out the articles as it became mute. We did go in. The result has been a disaster and continues to be in that region. All started by who ??? We have bases all around the world in every country and maintain size able forces there. WHY. Some things I will never understand so why even try ?
