Didn't they fight with bows and arrows then? Can you imagine how excited the first people were to discover bows. Get to kill those animals from a long, safe---- distance? Imagine. I once read a great book about a guy who was shunned from the tribe I think?, and figured out a throwing stick, so was able to defend himself and find food easily and I think he went back and saved the tribe that threw him out. I may have made that last part up-g. I was about 12.
