MM, you need to keep your mind open, read all points of view and then form your own opinion. You do subscribe to the view that we should not be the world's policeman like Ron Paul does. I do too and undoubtedly, Obama does too. Or else he would have sent troops into Libya, Syria, Tunisia, Egypt etc. But he didn't, no boots on the ground in these countries even though some of these countries have oil like Iraq does. We do not need boots on the ground to secure their oil installations like Bush and Cheney did. AQ needs to be eliminated. They don't deserve the benefit of our justice system.

What we see in happening in the Muslim world for the past month is an internal turmoil that has been in existence for the past 1/2 century. There is a faction typified by Osama and his folks who want to dominate and spread their style of using force to follow "the letter" of the Koran. And then you have the moderates like the Saud and Moroccan royals etc. who are moderates, who are intellectually inclined and profess an approach which is more in line with the approach of the West. It is this faction that led the Arab spring. The folks in Tahrir square were all intellectuals, used modern technology such as Twitter and Facebook to mobilize the masses. And because of their intellect, they knew that they had to be peaceful while protesting. These folks also were instrumental in bringing into their fold fundamentalists organizations like the current President of Egypt etc. Notice that he went to the Islamic summit and blasted Ahmadinejad there.

The protests that we are seeing for the past two weeks are the poor and the illiterates. These are not the ones who tool part in Arab spring. They are easily incitable, the mullahs and extremists from groups like AQ are inciting them by pulling on their chords. These extremists want to send a message to those from the Arab spring that they are ones who rule the Muslim world. They are signalling that they do not believe in democracy and the rule of "common sensible law." I am glad that Obama has decided to not get the US involved. And this should be a good sign that Obama's policy is succeeding. Read it and don't let folks like Hannity, Limbaugh, and other right wingers influence you.
