You are putting words in my mouth. I didn't say we need to curtail our freedoms in order to not upset others. What if we say something such that it provokes the African Americans. Say something vulgar and derogatory stuff that start rioting, burning, looting etc such as the Watts riots. Besides, you know well that when people seek refuge in foreign lands, the host country does not permit those folks to carry on acts that are political in nature against the country they fled from. America has welcomed and provided refuge to those fleeing persecution. But they need to make it very clear that those folks cannot bring in their politics here too. How about protecting the rights of people who were born here to begin with. Those poor folks who are barely managing a living are now being denied their right to vote!! Law abiding citizens who just want to exercise their right of expression by way of voting are being denied that. But a convicted felon like Bacile, who violated the terms of his parole is being given the right of freedom of expression! You see how screwed up we are?
