Chinu, the kids have to prepare for the human singularity in about 35 years or sooner. There is not time for 13th centrury cultures to evolve slowly. Technology made that impossible. So either we bite the bullet and go full speed ahead at catching up to 2012, or the kids don't make the adjustments in time to prevent disaster of one kind or another.

We humans need to own the 21st century, nuclear weapons, global warming, over population and all.

To survive.

Obama has the vision presidents will need going forward. We must change very quickly. You have a math background, so consider this. The arctic pack ice has declined from 50% to 25% in the last 33 years. That means it has declined by several standard deviations twice since 2007.

You know what that means. Big trouble ahead.
