We liberals are only 20% of the population. This is what makes koan the smartest liberal on SI in my book ... he knows he's far left wacko that isn't representative of the American people.

The issue is how do they get another 30% of the electorate to vote for them ... mal-education (deliberate?), lies, and fear-mongering.

Huntsman's platform was not far-right. As I have said before, and you keep ignoring, Huntsman was a national unknown in a large field. His background, platform, and even looks were similar to Romney's. In the 7 months he was in the race, he was unable to differentiate himself and break out of the pack enough to garner enough votes and money to keep going. That's politics. If he wanted national office, I think he should have waited til 2016 or 2020 - he's only 52 - and worked at something to establish name recognition and creds.
