funny how the source says "animal skin" at the beginning of the paragraph then ends with " the Dutch were much more likely to use flax or linen rags."

Flax and cotton are both plant fiber and not animal skin.

So it is concluded that the the paper came from the Dutch and was made from an animal known as flax or linen.
