If anything, they were VERY liberal Not even close. Liberalism, IE. the belief that the government should give out handouts didn't even start till the late 19th century.

Of course our Founding Fathers were not rightwing extremists. They were Tea Party activists just like most freedom loving Americans of today. "If anything, they were VERY liberal." They were typical Conservatives who valued freedom and individual liberty MUCH more highly than their own personal well being. They were willing to sacrifice for the greater good. This is the opposite of liberals who are willing to make their children and grandchildren sacrifice for their current enjoyment. Obama was quoted in an interview saying that if he and four like minded people were appointed to the SCOTUS they would shred the Constitution. (I believe it was a 1998 interview.)
