"The study took 2 years", is close to nothing as an argument for either "the study was done correctly", or "the studies conclusions are probably correct".<< Straw man? Really? Did you even read what I wrote? The 2 year comment had to do with the absurd claim that this study was a rigged conspiracy that was designed to end just before Prop 37 went to a vote. That is what the author put forth. The fact the study started before Prop 37 was even devised makes that claim absurd. But you changed the context, built a straw man and burned it down. Was that a reading comprehension issue, a mental self defense mechanism or a dishonest response? >>Because the products are safe, because $30mil is a lot more than $1mil, and the labeling itself will have some additional direct cost, and possibly loss sales. They don't want to "anti-advertise" their products.<< How can anyone know when they haven't done the studies long enough for the adverse effects to take effect? If a study was done to test the mortality of being shot in the heart, but the duration was for 1 second, would you be so foolish as to claim being shot int he heart doesn't kill people? This is elementary stuff. The BEST advertisement for a safe food product is ROCK SOLID SCIENCE PROVING IT IS SAFE. It doesn't exist. Not only doesn't it exist, but Monsanto and company fight tooth and nail to avoid doing the best research at all costs... and Forbes doesn't complain. Why do you fight the idea of an educated populace making free market decisions? Let the market decide if Monsanto has properly tested their product for human safety. Why the hostility towards freedom? I seriously hope you own lots of Monsanto or related stock, otherwise, your position is completely off the charts Looney tunes. Hating on freedom to benefit multinational companies... for chits and grins?
