You seem to say there are lawsuits outstanding. The company says there were no outstanding legal actions as of June 30-1996, and in every 10-Q filed subsequently. You seem to say there are old ones. Is that true? The lawsuits I am aware of are the ones by mork against the company, the company against mork, mork against riley, and riley against mork, and then the possible lawsuit against mvph and prti all with puhr, I do not know the status of these, or if they have already been decided, but I do not think so, and if they have not that may be why alot of information is being kept from us, but then again it may not, It is simply just anyones conjecture. Some of those links do not seem to apply here, particularly the one which deals with short positions associated with syndicate activity in underwritings. The links were to show that market manipulation and shorting was a very REAL problem and not an illusion, it happens all the time, the SEC does not catch them and alot of people get away with it, they know there is a bad problem and are working on it, but it takes time. But the whole thrust here still seems to hinge on the number of "illegal" shorts here. No one has ever come close to proving that here, and perhaps this is the time to look at what should happen relative to shorting and how the process really works.. Again view those links I posted, there is some very disturbing information there about how manipulative the stock market can be and how bad the problem really is. Personally I feel shorting as a means of hedging is great for companies, but the abuses have gone on for far too long and will continue, the SEC just does not have the manpower and we as a group of people that play in this game should DEMAND the abuses stop, letters to your local SEC district should help, as well as letters to your congressman and senators as well as voting for increases to SEC power and funding unless you wish these things to continue. Government can be bad, but in fighting large multi-billion dollar organizations they are one of the few tools we have as a public.
