Almost anyone, let's say most, on the selling side of real estate see short sale properties as poison. Between endless process times and insider deals that market is avoided by not showing short sale properties by the majority of agents.

Whether it was intended or not it drove a bunch of the demand into ready to go with clear title inventory in MLS and to even greater competition at the trustee foreclosure sales. Folks just had it with the indecision waiting months and months on short sale sign offs compounded by the fact they have to fight to even get back their money in escrow
