No Romney want us dependent on him, just like the robber barrons liked cheap labor. As usual, you have it backwards. Obama, like you, want everyone dependent on the govt. I have lived in MA about as long as Romney has and am certain that I understand him, his beliefs and his policies better than you do. Romney wants to create a society where people are able to succeed on their own. You liberals fear that concept and as a result you fear Romney. I will be much better of under King Mitt than under King Barack.

The feudal lords and kings were government. They were distinguished not by their caring or lack thereof (and BTW there is more evidence of Romney caring about the poor than Obama, Romney has long given lots of his own money to help the poor, Obama uses them as rhetorical props to help cement his own power), but by their power and political position. True Romney is going after a lot of power and political position now, but any presidential candidate is, and he's not seeking to expand the power of the government he's trying to lead, the way Obama is.
