Stuart: The December 1 date is the date for the company's use in effecting the split for shareholders on its books that date. Anyone not of record that date with the company but who buys shares before the date the stock begins trading on a split basis (Dec. 22, I believe) must see that their broker causes the split to be effected in their account. That's really all there is to it.

Now I'll go back to sleep <g>
