I don't know how to explain it, though I know that people who have spent time in very different cultures usually see a very different world from the people who have lived in one kind of culture. The eyes see one kind of violence and the reaction is another kind of violence. It takes considerably more emotional and physical work to take a club or sword and do away with a set of people than it takes to use a trigger or a button. It takes even less when that button is remote. When that button is pushed, what exactly is killing what? And for what purpose?
