Yes, I agree. In fact, when one caller made a statement that it doesn't matter what price you pay for a stock as long as you are buying a "great" company, the duo didn't even attempt to disagree with him.

I feel the fools should be made to write the following Buffett quote a thousand times :

"Price is what you pay, value is what you get".

Their popularity (with some people calling in to proclaim them as their "heroes" :-) ) is understandable because the years '95 thro '97 (so far) have seen near three-sigma positive returns.

I do wonder how these fellows (and their foolish followers) would feel if the market were to go down 30% over the next couple of years. But I don't think it needs a real bear-market to cool these fellows down. Just a string of lackluster years, like '92 to '94, will do.
