Maybe we have seen the start of a lessening in the factors that have driven the tech stocks and DD stocks in particular down. However, if more irratonal movement to the down-side occured it would likely draw in more investors and turn things around.

The tech stocks look at or near a bottom. Recent news about Samsungs' plans to scale back capital expenditures has had little or no effect on the semi equipment stocks. The tough stance that Japan, the US and the IMF has taken in dealing with S. Korea and other Asian economies and the fear that more problems will develop have apparently been factored into stock prices at this point. Ususaly when negative news has little or no effect the market is at or near a bottom. A blow-off could still occur but is getting less likely as each day passes. We may get some "last minute" tax selling in the first two weeks of December but I think that we will see a trending up in the tech stocks from here and an early "January effect".
