Good Morning George:

You beat me to the punch by informing the beach that once US dollars are placed into an interest paying instrument in Mexico the money can't be repatriated back. It must remain there.

However, I have several friends who indeed have taken the risks (devaluation, federalization, revolution, peso failure, etc.) and placed some money in Mexico C Ds. The interest rate has flucuated greatly in the past 20 years or so but still has funded a year round condo with full time servant help and is still churning away after 20+ years. The amounts of initial funds were 50k as I recall.
The next time I see either one of them, I'll ask.
Both individuals live in Mexico part of the year.

George ...Good Morning! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Just a point of interest last night on CNN's program PINNACLE they featured Andy Grove the CEO of INTEL, it was worth watching and if you do have any INTC shares I would be a definite holder of this stock. JPN rose above 17000 for the first time in a month and the HSI is also up but the future direction is still not completely clear in that area even though I am a very firm believer of buying HONGKONG Bank on any of it's dips. Best wishes and happy investing, Burjis
