Bernanke is doing the best job possible given the circumstances:

1. 50% of the economy are non productive-lawyers, bankers and accountants
2. It takes time to restructure the economy
3. In spite of Bernanke's efforts, deflation remains the big threat
4. Bernanke's fed may be pioneering for the USA, but it is not new. Japan has been printing money for over a decade and still experiences deflation.

If not for Bernanke, deflation and an economic collapse worse than the 1930's would have happened, and if not for Bernanke, it could still happen. I can tell you that Romney's plans, if he was allowed to implement them, would knock the bottom out from the economy and the stock markets. Obama will get re elected because the middle class sense what will happen to them if Romney gets elected.
