On that show he mentioned four mortgage related stocks he liked for a businessman's risk.

Apropos, I've recently entered into the mreit space with a buy. Very late. Maybe it's too late for any more capital appreciation. If the stocks don't fall though and I don't waver, maybe I'll be okay with the just the good distribution yield.

For diversity and for spreading business risk among several participant companies, I generally would buy a package of several stocks. I've decided here to take less yield with individual choices, and instead just go for an iShares package. Namely, my buys as I build a position in the space are all only of REM:

(There may be others better or worse than REM, I don't know. I found REM, and it seem okay-good enough for me. So I've been a buyer.)
