Ted....This is just so sad........that an entire state could vote this kind of a person into the Senate, and yet, it looks very probable.

Todd Akin, Of 'Legitimate Rape' Infamy, May Still Win Senate Seat

Indeed it is, Ted....I keep hearing myself say how Faux news is truly an enemy of the state...It(and its conservative media outlet cousins) have been so successful in brainwashing and hardening the hearts of many in the R base.....if it's a Dem they're running against, it does not matter what their "guy" has said or done...

As you well know, at this point, the race between Romney and Barack should not be close----but the stubborness among a significant portion of the electorate to overlook facts and "stay by their man" is what's keeping this race so close...

I realize you know this---talking out loud here with a group that I've not "spoken with" in ages;-)

With Romney at least, he is somewhat mainstream, but with Akins, he's total fringe........not just in terms of rape but on nearly every subject............and they want to elect him to the Senate? It boggles my mind.
