1979, 3 years before the crisis hit, I try to tell friends what the crisis was all about and the possible outcomes and the reactions were: This is normal. in 1973 we had some moments like this and people got worried, then restarted with with a vengeance. The following 5 years were better than the past. Are you crazy? What qualifies you here in this mato to even know what is going on? Then I would tell the time it will take to get through (4 years of really tough times) and the reactions were: Not a chance. This is 18 months maximum. I am getting tired of this talk of crisis coming lend to me your crystal ball? Lets order another beer, before the crisis starts.. Crisis hit in 1982. Lasted 14 years. Devastated the country.
