In the future, when you are adding another dividend to each company's line, I strongly suggest that you add to the amount that is already in the cell, not just the total.

So the next time CMI gets a dividend the cell's contents shows =.5+.5, instead of 1. that way, at anytime in the future, we can click on the dividend cell and see the actual dividend stream.... Naturally on the main screen, we'd see the total.

There's no problem to create another column which would show the accumulated dividend paid out to each stock.

Would the definition of the "cash" that you refer to be the total sum of all the dividends paid to all the stocks PLUS the cash obtained from the sale of a stock that we would want to replace ?

If that's not what you're referring to, then maybe you could elaborate as to what you see as "cash" such that I could organize something in the spreadsheet that would represent it.
