A genuine surprise. We've had two months down below 50 and now a surprise above 50. That's great and I hope it keeps improving. But two areas for caution. Prices were at 58.5, which is alarming. It is a red flashing light on inflation. Second, this is a blip upwards. We could see future revisions downwards and next month's reading could be back below 50. I personally don't think this move above 50 will be sustained. But you can mark this post and wag it back in my face if I'm wrong. However, if we do stay above 50 for a couple more months, then maybe we have a real budding recovery back on the table. I seriously doubt it, though.
