That was quite an investigative piece in the Geographic. And a lot of the Ivory goes for religious icons... Catholic, Buddhist, Muslim etc. Church officials making money off dead elephants. Grotesque.

Sadly you are very correct. Saw it first hand while I was in Kenya and Tanzania about nine years ago. People there do not eat Elephants.
