Jerry,

Over half of AMAT's revenue comes from Asia; do you think there is any chance of order cancellations due to lack of funding for capital investments(fab plants)?

Appreciate your thoughts.

>AMAT is an easy double from here..

and things look great if you take a peek over on the AMAT thread. no one is saying easy double. the hot topic seems to be whether we'll hold the support at 25 in 1998.

am i the only person holding the only two stocks that didn't go up today? :-) taiwan semi down big for obvious reasons, and amat flat for no apparent reason (as were all the chipmakers). let's go tell some analysts that applied materials is seriously dependent on motor fuel and other petroleum derivatives (they put vaseline on silicon wafers).

anyone short spy today?

bill, great call on the sunw calls you had wanted to get. hope you were able to get at least something. what do today's most actives tell you about friday?

me, i am very happy to be holding a load of altera leaps, that's all i gotta say.

last but not least, note that globex futures are flat; most often they are strongly down after a dow +200 day.
