The big picture is that people in the future are going to be tracked six ways to Sunday, by their vehicle, their phone, their computer, their money, and in ways we haven't even imagined yet. Orwell was right.

Don't forget RFID chips. I watched an episode of Big Bang Theory the other night where Sheldon was about to take a trip to San Francisco for a physics conference. He spent the evening sewing RFID chips into his clothing.

My passport (and all passports issued within the past few years) contains an RFID chip with all the critical information on it.
