We LOVE our autos. So build around that fact. But we won't. What will we do? If I knew, I would get rich investing in it. The thing to do is to remember that progress is almost always incremental. I can see on board boxes that run off a wireless system. Look for the cheapest way to go and that is what we should do. But it's not we probably will do.

and damn well we shouldnt...(see my prior post)

no way in hell will i give up what little autonomy i have with my personal freedom for the 'convenience' of just riding 'along' in a robo car....(any vehicle so technologically 'advanced' is advanced enough to lose total and complete control)

like i said, i even despise 'cruise control' aside from extremely long haul trips on the highways where it is to my advantage to take my foot off the gas to 'stretch my legs'
again...HOW HARD IS IT to drive your own frickin' car?

what amount of FREEDOM are we willing to concede out of pure laziness ?

i quite honestly do not see this as 'progress' i see it as handing over one of the last of our grea liberties to the technocrats who WILL exert control over our freedom of movement should we be so incredibly stupid as to hand it over to gov't to this extent....

they can shut down your internet and cell phones NOW....do we really want them to be able to so easily shut down our freedom of movement for what???
