re: I'd love nothing more than a efficient alternative to driving to any of the Colorado ski slopes on any winter Colorado weekend!

trust me...it AIN'T handing control over you car to such extremes to government....

if you really cannot handle winter CO driving in winter, then stay the hell at home!

i'm perfectly at ease in handling my own vehicle, and when i feel traffic conditions are too severe for safety sake, i stay off the road....how simple is that?

Don't you have bus service to the slopes from your town and from Denver?

The Ski Train was pretty sweet. Our federally subsidized Amtrak, that has a run to Winter Park, can't seem to figure out running a daily round-trip train to and from Denver during ski season to replace it.

I have often thought that one approach to the problem of skier traffic on the I-70 corridor in Colorado on winter weekends, is flex-time by local businesses that would allow employees to take a day off during the week to go skiing, and then work Saturday or Sunday in return.
