I still think that legal liability is what will kill the robocar.

I expect that limited liability laws would be passed.

my point is just because you CAN do something isn't necessarily a good approach....

i have serious concerns about 'drive by google' as it relates to personal liberty...

(you don't seriously think the power to regulate PERSONAL mobility to this extent isn't a statist dream?)

personal liability SHOULD be an issue in this instance....if you crash into me and destroy my health or property YOU should pay (via your insurance assuming you have it)

you make a good point....who pays if there is a gov't mandate for drive by google cars?
