Charles Darwin, a true intellectual hero, refrained from publishing his Theory of Evolution for over a decade in large part I suspect because he didn't want to upset his devote wife.

It's interesting, my wife's and my philosophies certainly have evolved into similar areas. I was more secular and libertarian and she was more religious and republican. I have become less secular and she has become more libertarian.
