Re: debt.

It will never get paid. I just divided the official debt of 16 trillion, which doesn't include many big ticket items, by our population number of 310 million. It comes out at close to 52K per person. That is per each man, woman and child. And growing.

It will never get paid - and borrowing without an intent of paying back is plain thievery. Bernanke thinks that this is the right thing to do, and that he can continue doing it on and on. In other words, he is either a thief or an idiot. I think, it is the latter.

And he is not alone. The entire political and economic [academic] mainstream is the same - either thieves, or idiots. For us, the implications are the same. Makes no difference.

GWB, in his book, said that the choice of Paulsen and Bernanke were two of his best decisions as president. How about that? LOL

why not just drop a million dollars from the 'helicopter' for each man woman and child in the us and turn the spending lose?
Because that would not benefit the banks.
