Agreed on Carter... almost everything they hang around his neck was completely circumstantial. Further, he hired Volker... who's policies we could use again, or will probably be forced to shortly anyway. It also occurs to me he is quite a humble man... going about his business and surfacing only occasionally. That appears as weakness to the swaggering Texan types we see far too much of these days... of course it's NOT. DAK

ROTFLOL "Carter is probably the MOST underappreciated President in history." The Worst President in History until Obama took the title from him is underappreciated for how bad he was. The costs of his disastrous failures in the Middle East are still being paid. Carter is fully responsible for Iran being a terrorist nation. Carter brought higher unemployment, run away inflation and interest rates.
