yup, interest rates go up and multiple markets start to crash.

low interest rates keep the dollar weak, which keeps the stockmarket strong from foreign investment. Once the dollar starts rising, foreign investment money will exit and retirement investments will dry up.

Raise interest rates and home sales drop and housing prices fall. Further erosion of housing values will cause people to see that their wealth is disappearing in yet another way.

One of these days we will have to take our medicine. And we aren't going to like it.
