But Romney made a huge mistake picking Ryan. What it did was magnify his attempts, specifically, to get rid of medicare and put a spot light on his fantasy budget which cannot be defended, and generally to roll back the New Deal. The Republican plutocrats have always hated the Newe deal (and actually democracy) and working Republican's them, but don't know that getting rid of them has been the plutocrats plan. They don't even understand how the plutocrats are using them to control the country to their liking i.e. low taxes and no regulations, get rid of unions and freedom to rape the country. The plutocrats use the sounds bites: "government is bad, lower taxes and the dems want to take away your freedom away", to distract them. The RW doesn't seem to understand how they fit into this equation.
