I'm with you, John. We need the extremists in this country out. Extremists, whether on the right or on the left, have damaged this country immensely. We need people who eschew ideology in favor of common sense practicality. We need policies crafted around what WORKS, not what someone in an ivory tells us is good for us. Lastly, we need people who don't care if a Republican or a Democrat gets credit for an idea, but rather, focus on outcomes for the American people.

You know, I've recently begun to wonder if British and Israeli style Democracy is better than ours. They have a Parliament, which appoints a Prime Minister. Many parties take chunks of Parliament and it takes a coalition of those parties to gain a majority to elect a Prim Minister. It forces many views to come together to compromise. In fact, it is a structure that makes compromise paramount. Ours is dysfunctional. Our Democracy is structured to ensure only two parties exist and that they are in continual warfare. Our media is part of the problem. Did you even know that there is a Libertarian candidate and that he was not allowed into the debates with Romney and Obama? So we have 3 official candidates for President that will show up on the ballot and the American people are not allowed to hear anything from one of those candidates? Doesn't that sound like a Communist style conspiracy to you?

Wow. We have so many fundamental problems in this country that it's no wonder we can't get anything worthwhile done. We're collapsing under the weight of our own system.
