God I hope you're right. They've made stupid decisions like this in the past, like transitioning to Int....oh wait.

What happens when I multi-task*.

What I meant was: what if the new chip kept compatibility with Intel instruction set?

While it is important to keep up to date being able to run the latest viruses, Linux apps are useful too.

*- I was pedaling too slowly and the voltage drop almost made the computer reboot so I had to hurry and finish my post...

I would imagine that's why they are thinking about it.

Its also not out of the realm for them to support both Cisc and Risc chips with the volumes they sell.
