It probably has more to do with the amount of imports from China and the amount of CO2 produced there making products for US consumption. Have you compared China's emissions now and 20 years ago? I bet it has increased by more than the US emissions have decreased. The truth hurts doesn't it? You can give Obama alll the credit you want for that CO2 stat you cite. Worldwide, CO2 emissions are accumulating in the atmosphere and Obama and the Democrats are doing nothing about it... except to blame Bush and the rest of the Republicans.
