craig, do you have knowledge of an impending earnings warning from 3com? if not, then earnings will meet and the stock will take off back to where it should be. i sell 3com gear, and it is quite popular. our company [multi-billion] does not have large inventories of 3com product, so i don't believe the bloated inventory rumors are an issue. i also have a friend at 3com and he sells the enterprise stuff [i.e. where the profits are] - and he is too busy to think straight! please share why you think the stock will tank. i don't see it.
