Just retread this. After I read it, I wondered how sincere is your claim that you are an independent.

Romney didn't win big time. He performed better than people expected. It was evident that Obama's approach was to be defensive and continue to protect his likeability image. He succeeded there. He impressed those 47% by mentioning that he will continue to fight for them and the disadvantaged. The "missed opportunity" for Obama to jab Romney may have been by design.

Today's debate was similar to the first debate in 2004.

He misportrayed Romney's tax reform (which is revenue neutral (lower rates, close loopholes and deductions),

How is it revenue neutral.........the tax reform Romney has been proposing on the campaign trail talks about cutting taxes 20%......that's roughly a revenue loss of $5 trillion over ten years. Romney/Ryan are unwilling to explain how this will cut the deficit nor are they willing to tell us what loopholes they will close. They talk in broad generalities and when confronted they say there is not enough time to explain their plan or its too complicated.

I call bullshit!

Romney won the debate, by lying about everything, but neither the moderator or Obama challenged him. If you think Romney's tax cuts are going to be revenu neutral you are very gullible.

<<Obama was a bit smug and unable to change course. He misportrayed Romney's tax reform (which is revenue neutral (lower rates, close loopholes and deductions), Obama portrayed it as a deficit) and when Romney told him that was not his plan, Obama repeated his misportrayal. Romney offered job creation (lowering taxes on small businesses)., Obama discussed education as a long term approach to job creation, but nothing to deal with the problem near term.
