ChinuSFO,
What is your theory on why those tax cuts did not produce any jobs but on the contrary the economy collapse in 2008, which is just the reverse.
When you look at the Bush tax cuts, they actually did more to put money into the hands of ordinary Americans, especially the so-called "middle class," than Obama's so-called "stimulus," which was mainly a state government bailout fund.

The Bush tax cuts along with the housing boom helped to sustain a growing economy from 2002 to 2007 when everything fell apart. Can't keep transferring the bubble. Yet that's exactly what Obama wants to do, except now the bubble is government spending.

So we had the strongest period of economic growth under Clinton. Was it due to his tax increases in 1993? Of course not. It was due to the explosive growth of the Internet. You know, that thing Al Gore invented.

Maybe we can raise taxes back to the Clinton era and reinvent the Internet, LOL.

Or we can take this opportunity to flatten taxes, eliminate most deductions, and follow the recommendations of Simpson-Bowles. That might cause some short-term pain as government programs get slashed, but it's the key to restoring confidence in the government and in the general economy.
