Dealerships are leasing the cars at a huge discount, taking the credit for themselves (which, of course, is a tax shelter for the dealership) and you end up getting a Volt on a lease for maybe $270/month -- essentially, 17,500 of the cost funded by taxpayers (10K by GM, which taxpayers have bailed out and will never see the money out of, and another 7500 in tax credits). Really, really pathetic.
