I have an article about the Kurd issue, which is involved in the dispute. I'll try and dig it up today. The Kurds in Syria have mostly been on the fence so far in terms of what to support. Assad sucks, but a Syria without Assad could be even worse for them. Turkey's involvement could push them more to the side of supporting Assad.

Sadly, no one knows what Syria will be like without Assad. As bad as he is, the Sunni majority could make the country a terrible place for its religious minorities..........esp for the Bashar's Alawites.
