Exactly! Deploy rate-adaptive solutions and use the bandwidth where you need it at the best prices it can get. If they need SDSL to get the lower speeds, so be it. Amati's Allegro does both. Just don't sell the telcos teacups when they'll need gallon jugs a year down the road.

Most of Fujitsu's assertions about limiting bandwidth and cost for residential users is on the money. We have seen the success of the US West multilevel product.

I think Fuji is just ticked that they don't have a competative OC-192 backbone product. Thanks for the article and other Fuji URL's.

I also like the Part in Orckit's description, "Orckit is an active participant in many standards bodies concerning ADSL". Nothing about compliance with those standards!
