I'd be interested in those articles. My reading is that they began as a secular organization, later changing some to accommodate more religiously conservative Kurds. The people I follow aren't PKK, and don't talk about northern and southern. They are, however, interested in a Kurdish state, or at the very least, again, rights within the countries they live. In Turkey that includes the right to their language where there are continued attempts to end them from speaking it.
